Dr. Garica during his recent visit to Montclair State University
This past Monday, Voices From Mariel was screened at Montclair State University as part of Dr. Garcia’s college tour. Dr. Garcia was able to spend some quality time with students, during a question and answer period following the screening. Here are some comments from Dr. Linda Gould Levine, Chair of Spanish and Italian Department of Montclair State University, in follow up to the showing.
Dear José,
Thank you so much for such an interesting and inspirational evening. It was such a pleasure for us to host the screening of Voices from Mariel and your question and answer session with the audience. Your passion, sincerity, and careful reflections about the questions raised by our students created such a connection between you and the audience that I am sure they all left the event a little bit smarter and informed and very much moved by your experience.
